Baden – Michael G. Golovich, 78, of Baden died Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 19, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Ann (Gurgorvich) Golovich. He was a retired steam fitter for Pittsburgh Local 449 and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Conway. Michael was a loving husband and father-in-law as well as a respected member of his community. He was a sweet, soft-spoken soul who had the ability to make people laugh. Michael loved children and was actively involved with Toys For Tots. He was a very generous man and contributed to missions in third world countries to help build wells. He is survived by two daughters, Debra Chesnick and Denise Chesnick, a grandson, Nick Knighton, a sister, Mariann Vanmeter and a brother, Joe Golovich. Friends will be received Friday from 4-8 p.m. at John Syka’s Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge where prayers will be offered Saturday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Christian burial mass at noon at Our Lady of Peace Church Catholic, Conway. Interment will follow at John Anderson Memorial Cemetery, Raccoon Township. In lieu of flowers, cash donations are suggested to Syka Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
