Mary (Blaner) Perun, 93, of Toronto, OH, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Mary was born June 15, 1929 in Stratton, OH, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Zdinak) Blaner.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Toronto.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Perun, on May 11, 2012; son, Vincent Perun, in 2020; three brothers, John, Andy and Joe Blaner; sister, Anna Westlake.

Surviving are three sons, Edward P. (Annie) Perun of Toronto, Mark (Cheryle) Perun of Kettering, OH and Tim (Denise) Perun of Bridgeton, MO; two daughters, Patti (Bob) Oxier and Mariella (Bill) Haught, both of Toronto; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Perun of Pasadena, California; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at JE Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A funeral liturgy with mass will follow Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Toronto. Father Thomas Vennitti will celebrate and interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Toronto.

Additional visitation will be held Friday morning at the church from 9:15 to 10 a.m. A wake will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
