BAXTER – The Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter is inviting young people entering grades five to eight this year to serveCAMP 2021 which runs August 1-5 in partnership with Camp Onomia.
This camp experience blends all the elements of a day camp with community-wide service projects. There will also be evening games, campfires, and optional tents in the Lord of Life’s backyard.

First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will have worship service in the outdoor parking lot run by the worship band at 9:30 am on Sunday July 25.
The service will be chaired by Pastor Patty Bjorklund who will preach on the theme âLiving Waterâ.
The Fun, Food and Fellowship neighborhood event will follow the worship service with live music, a free lunch, a tour of the Brainerd Fire Department fire truck and fire department. There will be a bingo in the parking lot with door prizes, water themed games for children and crafts. The event will end at 11:30 am

On July 30, the game night will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Koinonia room. The activity is aimed at people of all ages. Bring a friend, a favorite card or board game, and a dish or appetizer to share.
The Sunday worship service at the First Congregational United Church of Christ will be in person and online at 10 a.m. at 415 Juniper St., Brainerd.

MALMO – The Malmo Free Church will present Niah and Allisha Merrill in concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 24.
The Merrills are a duo with a traveling music ministry. Together, they had the opportunity to minister across the United States as well as in Italy, Nepal and Israel.
They sing and play an assortment of instruments (including piano, trumpets, bugle, hand drums and Irish whistles) in a variety of inspiring musical styles.
Bring a lawn chair for outdoor music enjoyment. In case of rain, the concert will take place inside the air-conditioned church.
The Merrills will also be in concert at the Glen Community Church at 9 a.m. on Sunday July 25.

PINE RIVER – The Rhubarb Festival at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pine River will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday July 23 and 24.
There will be fresh rhubarb pies for sale as well as rhubarb leaf birdbaths and stepping stones. There will be crafts, baked goods, quilts, fresh produce, and canned jams and jellies.
There will be a big clearance sale. A light lunch of pulled pork, coleslaw and rhubarb beans will be served.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, has two worship services scheduled for this week.
On Wednesday, July 21, there will be an indoor worship service at 6 p.m. with the preaching of pastoral intern Matthew Engum. Holy Communion will be served.
On Sunday July 25, there will be an indoor worship service which will close the VBS week at 9 am with the preaching of Pastor Hans Anderson and Holy Communion will be served. This service is live on KVBR 1340 Radio and broadcast live.
